Patricia is a fourth year student double majoring in International Development and Political Science. She is especially interested in Canadian politics, peace and conflict studies, and developing areas. In the few hours of the week she isn’t working on MJPS, she can be found taking long naps (some might even call them short sleeps) and eating her way through Montreal’s best restaurants. Frankie Wallace, Print

Frankie is a fourth-year student pursuing a degree in Honours Political Science. Her areas of interest are the international political economy, and counter-terrorism applications within international relations. Ryanne Lau, Managing Editor

Ryanne is a third year student studying Honours English Literature and Political Science. She is primarily interested in feminist political theory and Quebec politics. She is currently writing her thesis on gender and class in 19th century American short fiction, with an emphasis on Henry James and Edith Wharton. Sophia Rafuse, Comparative Politics

Sophia R. is a second year student studying honours political science with a minor in gender, sexuality, feminist and social justice studies. She is primarily interested in politics of the developing world, particularly East Africa and Central America. In Sophia’s free time, she likes to bixi around, play the tambourine and read Wikipedia. Srijan is in his final year at McGill studying Political Science and Economics, with special focus in International Relations, International Political Economy, and South Asian Politics. In his free time, he likes to watch movies from across the world and eat desserts.

Chanel MacDiarmid, Staff Writer

Chanel is a second-year student studying Political Science, with minors in Communications and Indigenous Studies. She is primarily interested in environmental issues, indigenous rights, democracy, and Canadian foreign policy. She is a fan of matcha lattes, the outdoors, and afternoon naps.

Katherine is a fourth year student majoring in Political Science and History. She has a particular soft spot for Indigenous-Crown relations, and anything related to the constitution. Sophia K is a second year student studying political science and art history. She is primarily interested in American and European politics, and is particularly passionate about when culture and politics intersect. Ciprian Constantinescu, Staff Writer

Ciprian is a third-year exchange student coming from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po Paris). He was involved in the high school student movement in Romania and is passionate about public policy debates in Eastern Europe. He is interested in constitutional and international law, international and regional politics, as well as urban planning policies, among others.

Jane Warren, Staff Writer

Jane is a second year student studying Political Science with a minor in French. She is primarily interested in how various paradigms of political thought intersect with current topics in Canadian politics. Jeanne Mayrand-Thibert, Staff Writer

Jeanne is a third year student studying political science and sociology. She is particularly interested in political and social theory. She also focuses on migrant rights and on the different political vectors and consequences of neoliberal transformation. In her free time, she likes to be productive and apply for internships.


Helia Mokhber, Staff Writer

Helia is a second year student, pursuing a degree in Honours Political Science with a minor in Psychology. She is mostly interested in Political Theory and Middle East politics. In Helia’s limited but well used free time, she likes to binge watch House of Cards and Grey’s Anatomy. Helia also enjoys watching horror movies and recreating Buzzfeed Tasty videos, although they are not always successful.

Evelyne is a second year student pursuing a degree in Joint Honours Political Science and History. She is particularly interested in American politics, having lived on and off in United States for the past few years. In her free time, she likes to rewatch Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir’s iconic Moulin Rouge performance and obsess over Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Erin M is a third year student studying Political Science and African Studies. This being her second year writing for the mjps, her articles have come to shown her interest in developing states and international relations across the globe, but primarily in Africa. Will Hanna is a U2 Honours Economics student, pursuing a minor in Political Science. His main focuses include European politics, economic inequality and moral philosophy. Eric Krol, VP Academic

Eric is in his final year of Joint Honours Political Science and History, with specific focus in International Relations and World History. Eric is originally from Mississauga, but considers Cafe Campus his second home. He encourages all political science students and members of the McGill community to say hi when they see him around McGill, or dancing at Cafe Campus.
